Khmer Krama - Indigo Thom

Khmer Krama - Indigo Thom

Indigo, humanity’s most coveted shade, is made from the crushed leaves of a crop that has sailed ships around the world in a universal quest for the perfect shade of blue. The color embodies thom, the Cambodian descriptor of the oldest, the large. These days, it’s almost unheard of for a color this deep to be extracted by natural means. But Kambuja’s partnership with the Takeo community means special access to an all natural indigo formula and dyeing method held guarded by a local villager. It is this secret process that made this sold out krama possible. A new manifestation of the Thom may arrive by popular demand, but bearing the same true blue.
